The film produced by actress Nisha Adhikari has a suspense – does it have Nisha Adhikari in a role or not. That is because the lead actress of the movie is Benisha Hamala and she is featured opposite to Saugat Malla. Initially it was believed that Nisha will be in the movie by default because she is the producer of the movie. But, when Nisha wasn’t featured in the trailer released recently, people have started wondering if Nisha is in the film or not.
The comedy movie features a couple played by Benisha Hamala and Saugat Malla. The movie directed by Simosh Sunuwar was being shot in Chitwan when Nisha Adhikari announced her marriage. Nisha who is trained in acting in the USA has a long-term plan of directing movies. In the production debut movie she had also worked as the choreographer. The director Simosh has also jointly produced the movie. Simosh had directed movies like ‘Mission Paisa’ and ‘First Love’.

Halloween is a festival of remembering the dead people in the family. It is celebrated by the people of Christian faith. But, because of the fun aspects of the festival, people of other religion also celebrate it in Western countries. Costumes, candies and Trick-or-Treating is more like the combination of our Deusi – Bhailo in Tihar and Gaijatra festival.
Nepali movie ‘Kalo Pothi’ (The Black Hen) was premiered in a Venice Film Festival in Italy on September 5, 2015. To be premiered in the festival, considered to be one of the oldest film festivals in the world, is an honor to the Nepali film. This year’s Venice Film Festival is the 72nd edition of the festival.
The movie ‘Kalo Pothi’, a story of two kids during the hardship of Maoist civil war in Nepal, is 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The movie however doesn’t support any political views. The movie mostly shot in Mugu featues Khadka Raj Nepali, Benisha Hamal and Sukra Raj Rokaya. The director, Min Bahadur Bham, says that he has no immediate plans to release the movie in Nepal. The mud-filled festival of farmers, celebrated on Asar 15, is now largely show off rather than an actual festival. In the past, when most of the people in Nepal were farmers, it was the festival to start the cropping season. The marriage between work and fun is filled with celebration. These days, Asar 15 has been the celebration for photo-op and tourism. Nepali actresses have taken this opportunity to shot music videos and modeling photos in paddy field.
Here are the collection of some of the photos of various Nepali actresses getting dirty to take photos.
Actress Binita Baral is the only actress who is actively involved in farming. After she started farming, she hasn’t appeared in any movies. Binita had actually worked in her 10-ropani plot. Binita is finalizing her debut novel ‘Juino’ and her upcoming movie ‘Umang’ is told to be in post-production. More photos of Binita in nepaliactress.com.
The temporary residences constructed by the help of Nepali film artists at Rampur Danda of Kabhrepalanchowk are handed over to the locals. The earthquake had destroyed about 40 houses in the area. On May 20 a group of Nepali film artists handed over the houses, named after popular Nepali movies, to the owners.
All the 40 houses are named after Nepali films including the first Nepali movie ‘Aama’ (watch ‘Aama’ here) to the relatively new movie ‘Sano Sansar’ (watch ‘Sano Sansar’ here). The naming of the house didn’t have any relationship to the producers of the movies.
With the help of earthquake victims, a small team of Nepali artists have constructed a number of temporary cylindrical residences. The artist team had constructed 5 residences on the first day and 15 residences on the second day. The artists have formed a team of We For All and the residences are being constructed under Project Roof.
So far, plastic tents and plastic sheets were being distributed to the earthquake victims for temporary residence. As monsoon approaches, such residences wont be sufficient to withstand the rain. The voluenter artists of the second day were Nandita KC, Keki Adhikari, Suresh Darpan Pokharel, Benisha Hamal and dress designer April Shrestha.
The director of the movie ‘Mokshya’, Prabin Shrestha, has announced his second movie titled ‘New Year’ in association with Grishma Entertainment. The movie featuring Anup Bkram Shahi and Benisha Hamal in leading role.
The movie written by Benisha herself is produced by Gihendra Ghimire. In a press meet organized in Kathmandu the film makers told that the shooting of the film will be done in Australia and Nepal. Actress Benisha had told in 2013 (nepaliactress.com link) that she was writing film story and after almost two years, the film is announced.
‘Luck’ is written by the director Rishi Neupane himself. The movie was criticized for the double meaning item dance ‘Dekhai dinchhu sabai kura paisa tire pachhi …’.
