In a few of the recent incidents it is seen that, Nepali actresses are the most irresponsible people in the film industry. Ethics and responsibilities are tied with their professionalism. Let’s analyze some of the recent incidents involving Nepali actresses:
The most recent incident, actress Sumina Ghimire threatened a journalist in a very unprofessional way. She could have sent the same message more effectively by stating it in a diplomatic manner. After the release of the audio of her communication with the journalist, Sumina has shown how low she can stoop. It won’t be easy for Sumina to regain her popularity and respect in the film community.
Actress Jharana Thapa is one of the most successful actresses in the industry. In a latest photo released in her Facebook profile Jharana is seen enjoying Hukkah (Shisha) and blowing smoke in a restaurant in Kathmandu. Smoking is a personal choice but, advertising it by publicizing the photo in public is considered unprofessional. Public usually consider celebrities as their role models and some blindly copy everything their favorite celebrities do.
After the marijuana incident of Shivaratri, the relationship between Rekha Thapa and the Film Development Board (FDB) head Dharmendra Kumar Marbaita (Pappu) has been a topic of gossip in the film sector. Rekha had unsuccessfully attempted to get herself in Pappu’s place in FDB.
The FDB head Pappu had visited Dolkha with FDB employee to inspect the proposed Film city in the area on Thursday. On the next day, Rekha Thapa and Jharana Thapa had also visited Dolkha to worship in Dolkha Bhimsen temple. With them, journalist Prakash Subedi and Jharana husband Sunil Kumar Thapa had also visited the place.
After giving birth to her first baby, Nepali Actress Arunima Lamsal hasn’t been able to get a good movie for the last couple of years. The only movie she had done after 19 months of giving birth to her child was ‘Urvashi’. In the upcoming movie, Arunima will be featured as a Dalit mother.
Arunima is excited about the character as it is the first time Arunima is featured as a Dalit woman. She is also satisfied that the producers have fulfilled all her demands. The movie is directed by Sachinraj Amatya and the shooting will start on the Holi day. Arunima confidently told that she will actively start acting in movies in coming days.
