Like previous years, I am sharing the photos of the Nepali celebrities celebrating Bhai Tika. Tihar being the second biggest festival in Nepal, it is celebrated by almost everybody. The festival involves worshiping dog, crow, cow, bull and siblings. I had written about the 5 Days of Tihar festival in a previous post.
Deepawali and rangoli are usually made by women in the house. So, I haven’t found any male celebrities sharing the such artworks online. I have collected the photos of the Nepali film actresses and some videos to compile the following video. In the background I have used a video clip of the well known comedy poet, Shailendra Simkhada, telling one of his latest poems in the Sisnopani Deusi program held on the Deepawali day in Kathmandu.
Shailendra’s poems are satirical and funny. Sometimes the words in the poem and the photos might seem  connected but, that is not true. I have placed the photos of the actresses alphabetically, so if you find any connection between the words in the poem and the photos, it is not intentional.

In addition to the poem of Shailendra Simkhada and photos of actresses celebrating Laxmi Puja, I have also added a video clip at the end of the video of actress Priyanka Karki dancing with the little Bhailo girls at her home. The song she is dancing is one of the most popular songs of her movie in theatre ‘Chhaka Panja’. The movie had recently celebrated 51-days in theatre. Continue reading
After Rekha Thapa, Priyanka Karki, Namrata Shrestha, Niruta Singh, Chhulthim Gurung etc., another Nepali actress has also tried singing. This time, the ‘Prem Geet’ actress, Pooja Sharma has become a new singer. The actress has given voice to a song titled ‘Prem Katha’, a duet song with a well known singer, Anil Singh.
In addition to giving their voices, both Anil Singh and Pooja Sharma are also featured as the models in the music video (music video is attached at the end of this post). My video report about Pooja’s debut in singing:
Pooja had also released a song in January this year. But, she took it offline before I could review it for some unknown reasons. Two other actresses who had also released music videos in January 2016 were Priyanka Karki and Chhulthim Gurung. I had shared their music videos at that time. Continue reading

The following video lists eight Nepali actresses who had preferred an already married man to an unmarried one, to get married. I think, some of them might have preferred a married man instead of an unmarried man because of their experience in dealing with women. Unmarried men usually feel insecure when dealing with a woman. Married men are more confident with women and know how to please them. Is that the main reason the following list of actresses married an already married man?
Let’s watch the following video report on the actresses before a detailed discussion on the topic:
Was Sharmila Malla looking for an experienced man?
Among the actresses mentioned in the video, actress Sharmila Malla is the only actress who had been the fourth wife, others are either third or the second wives of their husbands. It is surprising how Sharmila roped-in her husband, Krishna Malla, into her love and stopped his marrying-spree. Krishna Malla had already married three women in a young age but stopped marrying new girls after marrying Sharmila in the last 30-years they are living together.
Now, the main question, was Sharmila attracted to Krishna Malla because of his previous experiences with various women? May be, experience pays off. But, at the time of her marriage, Sharmila had no idea that Krishna Malla had married other women before her. In an interview, Sharmila told that she didn’t know about Krishna Malla’s earlier marriages until she gave birth to her son. Based on Sharmila’s statement, although Krishna Malla didn’t tell her about his previous marriages at the time of their marriage, he must have shown the understanding and the talents that only a well experienced man can show to a girl.
