The Nepali movie ‘Sapana Timro Mero’ was released on August 7, 2015. The movie previously scheduled to release in June had to be delayed because of earthquake of April 25. This movie is the second movie of the director Rishi Raj Acharya after directing the movie ‘Mistake’. You can watch ‘Mistake’ here. The actor Sabin Shrestha is featured in a special role in the movie. The movie is a triangular love story between the characters played by Sushant Karki, Janwi Bohara and Surajani KC.  The movie is made under RB Movies banner. The child artist is Ritu Acharya and Surajani KC is a new introduction in the movie. The director is the writer and the producer of the movie.

This is a new film. But, there was another Nepali movie by the same name. The original film featured Saroj Khanal and Kristi Mainali in leading role. About ‘Sanjog’

A presentation of Dadhiram Upreti, ‘Sanjog’ is made under Yujesh Film banner. The movie features the music of Ujjwal Thebe Limbu and Kumar Bibahit, produced by Umesh Upreti and Roshan Upreti. The writer of the movie is the director Bed Prasad Bhurtel. The cinematographer of the movie is Harinarayan Chaudhary, action of Chandra Panta and choreography of Govinda Rai. The movie was released on July 29, 2016 (read the release news).

The movie is made on a triangular love story between three characters played by Sabin Shrestha, Prajwol Giri and Sushma Karki. The movie was completed a couple of years before the actual release.

Star Cast of ‘Sanjog’


The movie features well known actors Sabin Shrestha and Sushma Karki. The actress known for hot scenes and vulgar dialogue, Sushma Karki is featured in a much sober role in this movie. During a press release of this movie, Sushma Karki, had lost her cool and had asked journalists to be prepared before coming to her press meet (read details of Sushma Karki’s response). After the release of the movie, Sushma Karki is unheard of in the film industry and there are no news of movies in her credits at the time of this writing (April 2017).

Actor Sabin Shrestha is known for action roles in Nepali movie. The actor introduced by Rekha Thapa in the film industry is debuting as a producer in his upcoming movie ‘Hero Returns’.

Rekha Thapa in Sabin Shrestha debut production movie Hero Returns (formal announcement)

The debut movie of actor Sabin Shrestha, ‘Hero Returns’ was formally announced in an event held on August 2, 2016 in Kathmandu. Rekha Thapa, the actress who debuted in Chhabi Raj Ojha’s movie ‘Hero’, will also be featured in a leading role in ‘Hero Returns’.

With Rekha Thapa, Sabin Shrestha, Dil Shrestha and Saroj Khanal in leading role, the movie will be directed by Ashish Bhetwal. Bhetwal wasn’t present in the press meet as he is currently in Australia.

Talking in the press meet, Rekha Thapa told that she was impressed by the story and couldn’t say no to the role. She told, she will be featured in an action role int he movie. The movie will be made on an action-comedy story written by Shivam Adhikari. The cinematographer of the movie is Madan Kshyap Ghimire, music by Deepak Sharma and Tanaka Budhathoki, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and action by Chandra Panta.

Friday Release – Sanjog and Relimai

Two new Nepali movies are released on this Friday – on July 29, 2016. Sabin Shrestha / Sushma Karki starrer ‘Sanjog’ is competing with a comedy genre movie ‘Relimai’. One movie is named Sanjog and the other has the lead actor named Sanjog.

The movie made on the story of the director Bed Prasad Bhurtel, ‘Sanjog’ is made on a triangular love story. The movie featuring Sabin Shrestha, Prajwol Giri and Sushma Karki was shot two years ago. Friday Release – Namaste Nepal and Jism

On Friday, July 15, 2016 two Nepali movies ‘Namaste Nepal’ and ‘Jism’ have released in theatres all over Nepal. Both of the movies are directed by Raju – one by Raju Shah and other by Raju Giri.

The movie is directed by Raju Shah. ‘Namaste Nepal’ features Sabin Shrestha, Anuja Pradhan, and a number of Belgian artists.

The movie made under Dwarika Uday Production is produced jointly by Pradeep Kumar Uday, Mandira Shrestha and Sriju Shah. The script of the movie is written by the director Raju Shah and Gopal Dhakal ‘Chhande’. The movie features the music of Om Sunar, Basanta Sapkota and Riyaj Siwakoti. The cinematographer of Dibya Raj Subedi.

The movie ‘Namaste Nepal’ is special as the movie is shot in European countries like France, Belgium, and Germany.

Hero Returns – Sabin Shrestha to produce an action flick

The movie sounding like Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s hit movie ‘Hero’, titled ‘Hero Returns’ is not a Chhabi Ojha movie. The movie is the debut production of the actor who debuted in Chhabi’s banner – Sabin Shrestha.

In the Nepali film industry, almost every well known actors have produced movies. Most of those actors’ desire to become film maker have failed. When we remember the actors who could become successful producers include Bhuwan KC, Ashok Sharma and Shree Krishna Shrestha. Two actresses – Rekha Thapa and Jharana Thapa can also be included in the list, but their success is largely attributed to their husband (ex- in case of Rekha).

Friday Release – Khurpa

This week on Friday – February 27, 2016 new Nepali movie ‘Khurpa’ was released in theater. Another movie scheduled to release on the same day, ‘Champion’ was delayed because of the problem with the Censor Board.

The movie released under Mata Pathibhara Films banner, ‘Khurpa’ was released in 65 different theaters all over Nepal. The movie made on the investment of Hasta Liwang is made on the story, script and direction of Kishor Subba. The movie features Sabin Shrestha, Puspa Limbu, Roshan Shrestha, Sushma Adhikari, Yubaraj Lama, Hasta Liwang in main roles. The movie also features a dog in an interesting role.

D Cine Awards 2015, November Rain wins the most award (full list)

The winners of the Digital Cine Award 2072, organized by Chhaya Chhabi Creation was announced in a special program held in Kathmandu on December 21, 2015. In the award ceremony, the movie ‘November Rain’ bagged the most award – a total of eight awards including the best actors, best actress, best director awards.

While ‘November Rain’ became the best movie, ‘Bhimdatta’ was awarded the Critics Award and ‘Sunpani’ became the Special Film. Late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha‘s movie ‘Kohinoor’ was awarded the public choice award. Producer and film distributor Gopal Kayastha and actress Gauri Malla were awarded with Chhaya Chhabi Film Artist honor award. Film journalist Dabbu Chhetri was awarded the Chhaya Chhabi Film Journalism Award of value Rs. 7,777.

Movie Songs – Nepali Movie, Rampyari, audio jukebox

The songs of the upcoming movie of actress Rekha Thapa under her banner Rekha Films, ‘Rampyari’ is attached for your entertainment. The audio jukebox has three songs from the movie. The movie is scheduled to release on the last Friday of the year 2072 BS – on Chaitra 27 (April 8, 2016). Rekha’s ex-husband’s movie ‘Kismat 2’ is also expected to release on the same date.

The movie ‘Rampyari’ features Rekha in the role of a three-wheeler driver and is based on a real person. The movie directed by Shabir Shrestha features Sabin Shrestha opposite to Rekha Thapa and also introduces Rekha’s nephew Aavash Adhikari opposite to actress Ashma DC.
