A red-carpet premier of actress Poojana Pradhan‘s production movie, ‘Chocolate’ was conducted in Hong Kong. Poojana and director Nirmal Sharma are currently in Hong Kong for the premier.
The movie made on the story of street-children is written and produced by Poojana Pradhan. Poojana had been raising orphan children and has first-hand knowledge on the condition of street children.

The movie ‘Khudkilo’ was released on May 16, 2014. The movie is a presentation of Silk Route Multipurpose.

Actress Sanchita Luitel to be featured opposite to Nikhil Upreti in an upcoming movie ‘Champion’. The movie to be made on the story of cricket player will feature Nikhil as the batsman. Sanchita will be featured as the girlfriend of Nikhil.

Nikhil and Sanchita fell in love in the sets of ‘Maya Ta Maya Ho’. After getting married secretly, they flew to Mumbai and struggled to get into the Bollywood film industry. After a while, Sanchita returned back to Nepal and gave birth to a son in 2011 and a daughter in 2012. Nikhil stayed in Mumbai in all those years. Now, Nikhil has also returned as a director in his home production movie, ‘Bhairav’. He is also featured in an upcoming movie ‘Lootera’ (scheduled to release on August 28) and is planning the second home production movie, ‘Bajarangi’.
The release date of Rishi Raj Acharya movie ‘Sapana Timro Mero’ has been scheduled to August 7 (Shrawan 22). The movie previously scheduled to release in June (Jestha 29) had been canceled after the devastating earthquake of April 25.
Actress Shilpa Pokharel is going to be featured in a movie in which a monkey will be featured in the leading role. The movie directed by Raj Bahadur Sane will feature Shilpa opposite to Kishor Khatiwada. The monkey for the action movie will be brought from India. Other artists in the movie include Sushil Pokharel, Prakash Kandel and Puskar Bhatta. Actor Dipendra Prakash KC is debuting in the movie.
Although the name and the script has already been registered in the Film Development Board, the film makers are planning to change the title in future. The shooting of the movie is expected to start in a couple of weeks in locations in Banke, Bardiya, Surkhet and Kathmandu.
Actress Ashishma Nakarmi has headed towards Europe for the charity shows of her upcoming movie ‘Adhakatti’. With Ashisma singers Astha Raut and Pramod Kharel are also flying together to Belgium.

Nepali Musical movie ‘Parikalpana’ is a presentation of Janataranga Multimedia. The story is written by the director Mohan Ghising, camera by Uddav Shing / Sunil Shing, editing/choreography by Prem Sharma Poudel. The lyrics in the movie are written by Mohan Ghising and poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota. Music by Balaram Samal, Raamesh and Ashok Rai. The singers are Tek Bahadur Balampaki, Balaram Samal, Raamesh and Babita Pakharin.
The action star of Nepali film industry, Nikhil Upreti, is making comeback in the June 5 release, ‘Bhairav’. The movie previously scheduled to release earlier in 2015 was delayed because of the shooting of ‘Lutera’. In the trailer released on June 25, he is featured in action role and is trying to get back his previous popularity.

Actor Bhuwan KC and controversy goes hand-in-hand. It has been quite a while there weren’t any controversial news about him, except of course, his debut as a director. In a latest report, Bhuwan KC‘s movie ‘Dreams’ has bee dragged into controversy over a hotel bill.

The movie team has recently completed the shooting of the movie in Pokhara. At the time of checkout Bhuwan reportedly couldn’t pay the Rs. 500,000 bill at the hotel. According to a local reporter Deenanath Baral, the hotel owner had snatched Bhuwan’s car on the failure of the payment. Bhuwan KC and the team was staying in Hotel Peaceful in Damside, Pokhara.
Actress Karishma Manandhar in co-ordination with Param Shakti Peeth is constructing 75 temporary residences for earthquake victims. Out of the promised 75 houses, 50 houses were handed over to the earthquake victims in an even organized on Tuesday, June 23. Minister Minendra Rijal was also present at the handing ceremony of the housed named Batsalaya Kuti to the locals of Chogaun.

The houses were constructed in Chogaun of Dharmasthali Municipality in Kathmandu. In addition to the minister the Film Development Board chairman and other film artists has participated in the program.
Disabled actor Sudarshan Gautam was pulled into controversy when he threatened a journalist to kill him over a telephone call. The journalist of filmybazar.com, Shayam Sundar Giri, had recorded the conversation (attached below) in which Sudarshan threatened him not to link Rekha with him. In a report, published in the online magazine, an unnamed source was quoted saying Rekha Thapa to be living together with Sudarshan Gautam in the USA. Based on the way Sudarshan has reacted, the information is untrue.
In the audio, Sudarsan says, “You need to think ten times, before writing about me and Rekha.” He also asked if Rekha has paid the journalist to write about them. Rekha Thapa however hasn’t responded to the issue yet. She is creating a controversy of her own by refusing to participate in any Nepali Award ceremonies.
Based on the analysis of the communication between Rekha and Sudarshan in Facebook, we had concluded that they have broken from a year-long relationship earlier this year. After that, Sudarshan hasn’t returned back to Nepal. When Rekha arrived in the USA and her activities were kept secret, various speculations were made.
Nepali actress Rekha Thapa has announced that she and her home production movies won’t participate in any Nepali movies award ceremony. She has accused the organizers of manipulating them to award the films of their choice based on personal influences and money.
Rekha has termed all the award ceremonies in Nepal as ‘Room Awards’.
This is not the first time Rekha has expressed her dissatisfaction. Last year, at this time Rekha had accused National Award organizers of asking money for award. She didn’t even go to receive one award she won at that time. Rekha was also accused of not participating in an award ceremony when she couldn’t persuade the organizers to hand her the Best Actress Award.
Actress Priyanka Karki had purchased and proudly showed-off, a vehicle, by her own showbiz income. Buying a vehicle by one’s own income is a huge feat in itself in the Nepali film industry. There is no doubt that Priyanka has earned it as she had been very busy and has been a well known actress who has acted in movies, participated in various stage shows in and out of the country, and done various modeling assignments.
The US-return actress is considered the most professional and the most dedicated actress in the Nepal film industry. She reportedly left USA and divorced the US resident husband to dedicate herself to the film industry. In fact, no other artists in the Nepali film industry have burnt the boat to remain in the Nepali film industry island.
But, gossip columns in some online media have fabricated a news accusing Priyanka of using earthquake victim funds to purchase the vehicle. Such accusations however are not based on any facts or proofs. Nobody actually believed such rumor until Priyanka wrote a long message in her Facebook profile to tell that she was hurt by the comment.
In the message (attached) Priyanka Karki has given all the details of her fund collection effort and the amount of the collected fund. She has told that the fund collected in the UK is yet to arrive in Nepal and she has promised to show it to everybody.
Actor Jiwan Luitel has become the father of the second child, a daughter on June 22. Jiwan’s first child, a son was born a year and half ago. In a message posted in his Facebook profile, Jiwan has congratulated his wife, Anjali Luitel, for the delivery of his second child. He hopes his family will be happier with the new member in the family. Jiwan’s first child was born on December 14, 2013.

A well known model and ‘Miss Nepal’ film actress Kshitiza Shakya has become pregnant for the second time. She is due on Ashad 20. A mother of a 12-years-old daughter, Kshitiza is very excited to become a mother after a long time. Like foreign models and actors, Kshitiza has also done a phtoshot of her belly for a weekly magazine.
In a statement, Kshitiza has told that her belly photoshot is dedicated to the earthquake victims of April 25 earthquake. She says, “I have heard of many miscarriages at the time of earthquake.” Kshitiza feels proud that the baby has been safe in the devastating earthquake. The photoshot was done in the photo studio of photographer Sanjay Rauniyar.
