Here is the audio songs of the upcoming movie by actor Ramit Dhungana titled, ‘Buddha Born in Nepal’. The movie directed by Gyanendra Deuja is made to tell the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal not in India. The movie shot in Lumbini, Kathmandu and the USA features a romantic love story. The movie featuring Ramit Dhungana, Nir Shah, Mithila Sharma, Manita Gurung, Amit Dhungana, Rameshowr Burlakoti etc. in main role is researched and written by the director Deuja.

Gajalu trailer released, an interesting love story concept

The next movie of actor Anmol KC, ‘Gajalu’ is also the debut movie of actress Shristi Shrestha, the Miss Nepal 2012. The trailer of the movie was released in a program held in Kathmandu on April 14, 2014.

It is interesting that the ex-Miss Nepal is featured as an ex-Kumari, the living goddess. Kumari is an ancient tradition in Kathmandu valley, that selects a young girl to be kept as a living goddess until her puberty. After puberty, a Kumari retires and another young girl is selected to live in Kumari ghar as the next living goddess, Kumari. In ‘Gajalu’, Shristi is features as an ex-Kumari. It is a societal belief that, Kumaris shouldn’t marry throughout their lives.

I wish xNepali readers a very happy new year 2073. On the new year, I am looking back on the movies released in 2072 BS. The year was a tragic because of the earthquake and huge amount of the loss of human and properties. The movie release and shooting were also affected for months because of the tragic event.

Note – This is only a list of top movies. These new movies aren’t yet available online. I will share the full movies when the producers make them available online.

10 Hit movies of 2072

  • Dreams – Anmol KC starrer movie produced and directed by his father Bhuwan KC was superhit movie of 2072.
  • Woda Number 6 – The movie produced by ‘Tito Satya’ comedy show team – Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma was superhit this year. It followed the last years hit release ‘Chha Ekan Chha’
  • Kabaddi Kabaddi – The sequel of superhit movie ‘Kabaddi’ was similar to the original and it also received the similar success.
  • Pardeshi – The movie made on foreign employment featuring Prashant Tamang and Rajani KC received a very good response from the viewers.
  • Pashupati Prasad – The movie featuring Khagendra Lamichane and directed by Dipendra K Khanal was liked by the viewers. The movie is unique in the fact that it doesn’t have songs and fights.
  • Prem Geet – Love story movie by director Sudarshan Thapa was also liked by viewers. The movie features Pradeep Khadka and Pooja Sharma in leading role.

  • Resham Filili – The movie was released twice and was successful because of the popularity of the song Jalama.
  • Nai Nabhannu La 4 – The fourth sequel of ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ franchise was as successful as it’s previous sequels. That is based on the response of the viewers in the last few day. The movie was released on last Friday.
  • Bhairav – The comeback movie of Nikhil Upreti was also his directorial debut. The movie was a huge commercial success.

Nepali movie ‘Tadap’ is a presentation of Mata Krishnamaya Smriti Films by Jiwan Thapa. ‘Papi Manche’ details

The movie ‘Papi Manche’ is produced by Raj Kumar Rai for RC Pictures and is made on the story and script of Ugesh Rayamajhi. After the huge success of this film, a sequel ‘Papi Manche 2’ was also produced (watch ‘Papi Manche 2’ here) with Nikhil and Poojana Pradhan. Rajesh Hamal is featured in special appearance. Narayan Puri and NB Maharjan are guest artists. A Nepal Police dog named Hero and a monkey named Shyamu from Mumbai are also the leading characters in the film.

Rekha Thapa stardom seen in RamPyari release

Although the reviews of Rekha Thapa‘s new release ‘Ram Pyari’ is nothing to be excited about, her star power is clearly seen in the theater. When Rekha visited the theaters to meet the viewers, the viewers were happy and excited to she her. Some viewers were so excited that they carried her and threw her in the air (see the following video for a small clip).

What do viewers say about Ram Pyari?

The initial review of the movie is not that good. One of the viewers told, “Apart from Rekha Thapa, there is nothing to watch it the movie.” He said, the movie is similar to her previous movies. Although the action is good, the story and the story telling style is same as her previous movies.
