This Nepali movie is a presentation of actress Richa Ghimire made under her own home production. In addition, the director, Shankar Ghimire, is also her husband. Shankar and Richa had teamed up to produce another movie titled ‘Tulasi’. The movie is yet to release in Nepal. Shankar and Richa couple have gone to the US in the name of showing the movie there.

How did Malvika Subba miraculously lost 22 kg in 6 months?

Nepali TV celebrity, Miss Nepal 2002, Malvika Subba gave birth to a son in April 2016. In less than 6 months of her pregnancy, Malvika Subba miraculously lost 20 kg of her weight. It is a usual trend that new moms gain a lot of weight after giving birth to their child. One of the latest example is actress Richa Ghimire. Richa Ghimire gave birth to her third child, a daughter in the USA.

How did Malvika Subba lost weight?

In an interview, Malvika has told that she didn’t do any exercise to lose the weight. All she did was reduction in weight gaining practice. She didn’t eat high fatty diet – that is common practice in Nepal. She drank a lot of water and didn’t sleep in day time. The only exercise she got was by tending the little boy.

Dashain 2016 – Dashain Tika photos (Update with videos)

UPDATE: Dashain has finished today. I collected 100s of photos of celebrities. But, posting them in the page would not be that much interesting to the most of the site visitors. So, I collected the photos of 40+ Nepali actress celebrating Dashain this year and prepared a video (I deleted the video – nobody watched it).

I also prepared a video about the fist Dashain of two Miss Nepal sons. In addition to the sons of Jharana Bajracharya and Malvika Subba, the daughter of actress Richa Ghimire also celebrated her Dashain for the first time in her life.

Mom Actresses in Nepali film industry – Karishma Manandhar to Sumina Ghimire

I wrote his article in May of 2016 – to mark the Nepali Mother’s Day. I am re-writing this article because there are three more updates in the article :

  • Sumina Ghimire gave birth to her daughter in December 25, 2015. Sumina Ghimire had gone into hiding after marrying, so it took me nine months to know about her childbirth. (photo and a video report is attached.)
  • Simpal Khanal is also expecting a new child soon. Although Simpal had also gone into hiding after marrying a UK resident guy, she had shared the photo of her big belly recently. (a video report is attached – read more about Simpal’s pregnancy here)
  • Sumi Khadka is another actress who is pregnant now. Sumi had announced the pregancy on September 26, 2016. Khadka, a former Miss Nepal, was also an actress in a number of movies. Sumi had married Chiran Basnyat in 2015. (A photo is attached.)

Richa Ghimire gives birth to a daughter

Actress Richa Ghimire has given birth to a healthy daughter on June 23, 2016. She is the third child of the actress currently living in Baltimore, USA. The father of the newborn, director Shankar Ghimire has told that both the mother and the daughter are healthy.

Richa and Shankar couple had moved to the USA with their first child (born in 2012). The second child was born in the USA in 2014. After going to the USA both Richa and Shankar have left the Nepali film industry.

Nepali Artists Dashain in foreign countires

Wherever people go, they take their culture with them. Nepali people are no exception. Nepal people all over the world celebrated Dashain Tika on October 22, 2015. I shared some photos of Nepali artists celebrating Dashain in my previous post. Now, it is time to share photos of Dashain celebration in places out of Nepal. Although, every Nepali have celebrated Dashain, I will only share photos of Nepali artists. This post will be updated if I find more artists celebrating Dashain in countries other than Nepal.

Prakriti Shrestha, Nepali actress in Australia

Nepali actress Prakriti Shrestha had gone to Australia after marrying Sudeep Neupane in July of 2014. The ‘Hostel’ actress was considered one of the new actresses with a lot of potential in Nepali film industry. But, Prakriti quietly married and left the country. (Watch ‘Hostel’ here)

Sunil Thapa awarded lifetime achievement awards at FOG, USA (photos)

Nepali actor Sunil Thapa was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award at the FOG awards held on August 15 at San Francisco, USA. Thapa was one of the five recipients of the awards including Jackie Chan, Kieu Chinh, Bappi Lahari and Matin Sheen.

Other Nepali participant artists were also felicitated in the FOG( Festival of Globe)awards 2015.

Nepali movie ‘Faisala’, subtitled ‘Decision of Love’, is an action, adventure, love story featuring action star Biraj Bhatt and Rajesh Hamal. The movie is produced under Darpan Films and Shiva Giri Film banners. The movie made on the story dialogue and script of Deepak Alok features music of Mahesh Khadka and is produced by Shiva Giri and Govinda Dhungana. Other technicians include – background music by Samrat Thapa, production controller Baldeep Rai, choreography by Basanta Shrestha/Shanta Nepali, action by Himal KC, camera by Deepak Bantabwa, editing by Banish Shah, and additional script, dialogue by the director Madan Ghimire.

The movie produced by Kajal Films is one more movie produced by popular movie actor Bhuwann KC. The actor added an extra ‘n’ in his name on the suggestion of an astrologer. We posted Bhuwan’s interview at the time of the release of the movie (in February of 2012).

Although our review of ‘Sathi Ma Timro’ was positive in nature, the movie wasn’t that successful in theater and changing names wasn’t as helpful as expected.

Kalapani is an area in Nepal’s eastern, Darchula district, on the borders of India, Nepal and China. The area has been occupied by Indian troops after encroaching it during the India-China war of 1962. This movie, made on patriotism and border dispute, was awarded ‘Special Movie’ honor by Nepal Government.

Richa Ghimire gave birth to the second son in USA

Actress Richa Ghimire and director Shankar Ghimire have become the proud parents of a newborn boy while living in the USA. The couple with their toddler son arrived in USA via Canada to show their movie ‘Tulsi’ and have remained there for some time.

The baby was born at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center on May 27, 2014 and was named Maharshi Ghimire. Naming of his big brother, Mizas, took the Ghimire couple months of searching.
