On this Friday, October 28, 2016 two new movies were released in theatre – Yogesh Ghimire’s ’Radha’ and Shiva Sharma’s ‘Paradeshiko Umanga’ and Hikmat Bista’s ‘The Winner’. The movies are expecting a high turnout in theatre on the holiday season of Tihar.

The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel and Sanchita Luitel in leading role is a love story movie. The characters meet during a bus travel and then come close. The movie is about a problem in their relationship. The movie features the music of Basanta Sapkota, direction of Yogesh Ghimire, action of Himal KC, choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj, editing of Arjun GC and Milan Shreatha, cinematography of Man Krishna Shrestha and script of Pradeep Bhardwoj. UPDATE: Dashain has finished today. I collected 100s of photos of celebrities. But, posting them in the page would not be that much interesting to the most of the site visitors. So, I collected the photos of 40+ Nepali actress celebrating Dashain this year and prepared a video (I deleted the video – nobody watched it).
I also prepared a video about the fist Dashain of two Miss Nepal sons. In addition to the sons of Jharana Bajracharya and Malvika Subba, the daughter of actress Richa Ghimire also celebrated her Dashain for the first time in her life.
In an interview, actor Nikhil Upreti, has told that it was not only Sanchita Luitel he had affair with. Nikhil’s first marriage with Kopila Upreti was also a love marriage. After that he had affairs with different actresses. With Sanchita, he couldn’t leave her and married. Was Sharmila Malla looking for an experienced man?
Among the actresses mentioned in the video, actress Sharmila Malla is the only actress who had been the fourth wife, others are either third or the second wives of their husbands. It is surprising how Sharmila roped-in her husband, Krishna Malla, into her love and stopped his marrying-spree. Krishna Malla had already married three women in a young age but stopped marrying new girls after marrying Sharmila in the last 30-years they are living together.
Now, the main question, was Sharmila attracted to Krishna Malla because of his previous experiences with various women? May be, experience pays off. A presentation of Dinesh Thapa, a 2008 release movie ‘Mr. Don’ is an action movie featuring action stars Nikhil Upreti and Shiva Shrestha. The movie is made on the story of Dil Kunary Pyasy, screenplay of Bikash Acharya. The movie features the music of Mahesh Khadka, playback singing of Rajesh payal Rai, Dipak Limbu, Shiv Pariyar, Anju Panta, Pushpa Poudel on the lyrics written by Madan Ghimire and Dayaram Pandey. The action director is NB Maharjan, choreographer is Dinesh Pakhrin, cinematographer is Shambhu Sapkota and the background score is made by Samrat Thapa.
Nepali movie ‘Maryada’ is a presentation of Sajan Films. The movie is subtitled ‘A Border Line’ and is made on the story of the director Shyam Bhattarai. Produced by Sanjay Katu, ‘Maryada’ features the music of Kamal Krishna, background score by Samrat Thapa, action by Himal KC, editing by Banish Shah, cinematography by Kumar Bakhati and choreography by Basanta Shrestha. The playback singers are Udit Narayan Jha, Sangita Rana, Deepa Jha, Pushpa Poudel, Aanand Karki, Rupak Dotel and Shree Krishna Luitel. The lyrics of the songs are written by Dayaram Pandey, Shyam Bhattarai and Sanjay Kutu.

Recently, I prepared a video about the wives of the top 10 actors in the Nepali movie industry. While preparing the list, I felt like adding the names of some additional actors at the end after talking about the top 10.

Actress Sanchita Luitel is romancing with actor Jiwan Luitel in upcoming movie ‘Radha’. The movie directed by Yogesh Ghimire is the first movie of the two well known actors of the Nepali movie industry.
Sanchita had worked with the director Yogesh Ghimire in two of her movies – ‘Samjhana’ and ‘Sapoot’. The shooting of the movie is going on since Baisakh 24 in the Eastern parts of Nepal. The movie is scheduled to be shot in Jhapa and Darjeeling area.
The movie ‘Papi Manche’ is produced by Raj Kumar Rai for RC Pictures and is made on the story and script of Ugesh Rayamajhi. After the huge success of this film, a sequel ‘Papi Manche 2’ was also produced (watch ‘Papi Manche 2’ here) with Nikhil and Poojana Pradhan. Rajesh Hamal is featured in special appearance. Narayan Puri and NB Maharjan are guest artists. A Nepal Police dog named Hero and a monkey named Shyamu from Mumbai are also the leading characters in the film.
The movie ‘Maya ta Maya Ho presents the couple Nikhil Upreti with Sanchita Luitel in leading roles. The story of the movie is written by Binod Aryal, music by Sambhujit Baskota, lyrics by Shanti Priya / Basanta Sapkota, choreography by Gobinda Rai, action by Roshan Shrestha, cinematography by Purushottam Pradhan and editing by Manoranjan Shrestha. The singers of the songs in the movie are Rajesh Payal Rai, Anju Panta, Dipak Limbu, Mandavi Tripathi, and Manoj Raj Siwakoti. The child artists in the movie are Bivash Aryal, Angel Subedi and Bibhuti Aryal
The third sequel of the popular Nai Nabhannu La franchise, ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’ was also a superhit films like it’s predecessors ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2’ and ‘Nai Nabhannu La’. In this movie the direcotor Muskan Dhakal has debuted as a full director. In previous movies, Muskan used to work as assistant to Bikash Acharya. During the shooting of this movie Bikash was mourning and didn’t want to direct the movie. Bikash has directed the next in the sequel ‘Nai Nabhannu La 4’. The movie in in it’s post production phase now.
The shooting of the upcoming movie ‘Champion’ has started in Kathmandu. The movie being made on the story of cricket player was initially supposed to feature Nikhil Upreti in leading role. We wrote about Nikhil and Sanchita Luitel to be featured together in the movie. Now, at the time of shooting, Nikhil couldn’t set aside the time for the movie and the film production team had to find another actor in his place.
According to the producer, Nikhil wasn’t familiar with cricket game and because of the promotion of his comeback movie ‘Bhairav’ he didn’t have enough time for cricket lesson. The production team has chosen ‘Rang Baijani’ debut actor Dikpal Karki to do the leading role. After being selected for the role, Dikpal has learnt and practice cricket for a long time.
Nepali actress Sanchita Luitel is considered one of the talented and beautiful actress in Nepali film industry. Sanchita had married struggling actor Aakash Shah at the age of 18. They eventually divorced and Sanchita found Nikhil Upreti to marry. We heave written the details of Sanchita’s life in our earlier post.
After 4 years of absence, Sanchita made comeback in ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’. After that she is being featured in a number of other movies.
