Samriddhi Rai – Miss Personality, Miss Toursim Queen International 2011
UPDATE: More photos added at the end.
Nepali beauty Samriddhi Rai who represented Nepal in the Miss Tourism Queen International 2011 held in China, was successful in winning a Miss Personality title.
Although, it might not be a greatest feat for others, for Nepal it is no less than winning the contest title. That is because, in most of the contests Nepali models participate, they don’t win anything and none have won a contest title till date. So, we should congratulate Samriddhi for making us proud by bringing in something.
Yes, she looked gorgeous in blue bikini!!
She also looked great in a dhaka skirt in the National Custom Round:
Bhuwann KC, astrologer added an extra ‘n’ in his name
The investment in Nepali movies is very insecure and nobody knows how the viewers perceive new movies. It becomes scary when the story and the content is not strong enough. In such situations, Nepali film makers go in the refuge of astrologers.
This time, an established producer and actor in Nepali movie, Bhuwan KC went to an astrologer who told him to rename himself to which the actor gladly agreed and added an extra ‘n’ at the end of his name. This shows how insecure our producers are; they can even change their name to make a movie a success. In Bhuwan’s upcoming movie he will be named Bhuwann KC instead of Bhuwan KC. And, the title of the movie will also have the phrase Bhuwann KC ‘s Sathi Ma Timro in it’s posters and promo materials.

Risker to drive in Nepal (Traffic accident data analysis)
In May, 2011 we posted about traffic accidents in Nepal up to FY 2066/067. Adding one more data to the chart shows an alarming increase in the number of accident in FY 2067/068. That was an increase of more than 500 accidents in a year.
When we see the number of death due to accidents, the number also increases from 146 to 171 death, an increase of 25 deaths.
The data shows that the government is not doing enough to reduce accidents or death caused by such accidents. So, the citizen themselves should be more careful while driving. They should be more proactive to increase awareness in people about traffic safety and rules of the road.
I hope the social media groups that have been doing laudable works in the past will also think in that direction.

What a noble way to become fresh.. watching blue films
When you are stressed out, how do you become fresh? If you ask me, I would either stroll in a park… or listen to a sweet music… not the way model Etna Karki says how she becomes fresh.
The image above is taken from the ‘Shukrabar’ magazine cover. We haven’t read the article posted in page 21. But, the title “Blue film herera fresh hunchhu,” says a lot.
Some of the questions and answers (rough translation from Nepali):
Do you have experience of sex?
Yes of course… with my boyfriend.
Have you seen Blue film?
Yes I have seen. I was 17 years old at at that time. I was very excited after watching the movie. I do watch them occasionally and be fresh.
