A press meet was organized to tell about the movie releasing this Friday, ‘Sanjog’. In the event, the actress Sushma Karki got angry by the question of a journalist. The question was about Sushma’s previous release movie ‘Chalechha Batas Sustari’. The movie released targeting the Valentine Day of 2016 failed to attract viewers while the other two movies released on the same date – ‘Classic’ and ‘Premgeet’ became hit movies.

In the press meet, Sushma claimed that ‘Chalechha Batas Sustari’ was a hit movie. She also asked the journalists to do proper homework before asking her questions. She told, “I don’t need to tell what I am doing. It is your job to find out what I am doing.”

Rakhi Sawant in Kathmandu, Bengali movie item song shooting

Bollywood item girl, Rakhi Sawant, was spotted in Kathmandu on Sunday. The controversial item girl was in Nepal for the shooting of an item number of a Bengali movie titled ‘Aami Tomar Hoti Shahi’. Rakhi’s role in the movie will only be as the item girl. Video report:

The movie crew had made a set in Kathmandu for the shooting of the item song. There were Nepali technicians and the chorus dancers in the shooting. In addition to shooting the item song, some more songs of the movie will also be shot in various locations in Nepal. After the completion of the shooting and return of Rakhi Sawant to Mumbai, the film crew will head towards Mustang for more shooting.

According to reports, Nepal was chosen for the shooting because of it being cheap to shoot here. The other option – shooting in India was costly and shooting in Bangladesh was ruled out because of the lack of proper shooting spots.

Is it over for Archana Paneru? Both Jism and Chhesko flopped.

The actress, Archana Paneru, raised in fame by posting sexually aggressive photos on social media. In a short span of time, a lot of things happened to her. She got kicked out of her school, was arrested twice, was chased away from home and landed in a couple of movies. After all that, Archana and her mother Sunita Paneru are currently dancing in a dance bar in Thamel with her (a short clip of her dancing is seen in the following video.)

D Cine Award 2016 nominations announced, Best Item Dance is a new category

The nomination for the upcoming film award – D Cine Award has been announced. The award, organized by Chhaya Chhabi Creation, had been running for the last eight years.

In a press event held in Pokhara among journalists, the nominations for the 26 categories were announced. For the first time in the award’s history, the event is going to be held out of Kathmandu. The award ceremony will be held in Pokhara this year. In this year, award will also be given in a new category – Best Item Dance.

After awards are being awarded for item dances, I wouldn’t be surprised if awards were awarded for Best Bed Scenes, or Best Kiss Scenes in the future.

Here are the nominations for the Best Item Dance category:

  • Priyanka Karki and Indira Joshi in ‘Local Beauty’ of ‘Fanko’
  • Namrata Shrestha for ‘Hey Namrata’ in Adhakatti
  • Priyanka Karki for ‘Blast Hune Wala’ of ‘Lootera’
  • Menuka Pradhan for Dhai Dhai in ‘Bhairav’
  • Reema Bishowkarma for Gauki Parvati in ‘Rahadhani’

According to the coordinator of the organizing committee, Shanti Priya, 67 movies released in 2072 were considered in choosing the nominations.

Actress Rekha Thapa doesn’t have a Guru as such. When asked to name one, Rekha told that she considers her father the Guru at home. After her father, her mother taught her to be good mannered. In the film industry, Rekha had previously told that Naresh Poudel is her God Father in the film industry.

The superstar actor Rajesh Hamal is being featured in a Bhadra 9 (August 25, 2016) release movie ‘Sakuntala’. Based on the character, a Teej music video featuring Rajesh Hamal in a woman’s role is released on July 19, 2016. In the music video, Rajesh Hamal has performed a short but nice dance. Watch the Teej music video. (The music video is attached at the end of the post)

In the music video – Rajesh Hamal appears at 2:15 and ends at 2:42. It is really short. Another appearance is at 4:34 to 4:44.

The music video features actors Kishor Khatiwada, Shankar BC, and Smriti Shrestha. The song is made on the lyrics and music of Ek Narayan Bhandari. The singers are Jiwan Pariyar and Keshu Guurng. Anmol KC explains why he is not featured in Ma Ta Timrai Hoon

A press meet was organized in Kathmandu to inform about this week’s released ‘Ma Ta Timrai Hoon’, a movie by actress Sushmita KC under the banner of her son, Anmol KC. Although Anmol KC is named the producer of the movie, his is not features as an actor in the movie. In the program, Anmol KC explained why he is not featured in the movie.

Anmol told that the story was written without considering him as the actor. That was the reason he was not featured in the movie. In addition to that, Anmol told that the company Anmol Creations’ goal is to introduce new actors in the Nepali film industry.

Madhu Bhattarai hot avatar, in Thailand vacation with Rajesh Hamal

The superstar of Nepali film industry, Rajesh Hamal is currently in Thailand with his wife Madhu Bhattarai. The couple who married two years ago (Rajesh Hamal and Madhu Bhattarai marriage) are yet to be parents. Because of the age difference between Madhu and Rajesh there had been skepticism on the longevity of their relationship (Rajesh recently turned 52 years old). From time to time those skeptics spread rumours about their relationship. Last time, in May, Rajesh Hamal had responded to the rumour by updating his Facebook cover picture (video report is attached at the end).

This time the Thailand vacation of the couple give s glimpse of their relationship. I have prepared a video with the photos and Rajesh Hamal’s response to the rumour. Watch the video:

Who is Madhu Bhattarai?

Rajesh Hamal’s wife, Madhu Bhattarai was a model before she started having a affair with Hamal. After a lengthy affair, Hamal decided to get married. Madhu is half the age of Hamal. At the time of marriage, Rajesh Hamal was 50 years old and Madhu was 28.

For the first time, the identity of Hamal’s girlfriend was revealed in 2013 when she appeared in an article of Saptahik. In a few days, the photos and more details of Madhu appeared online.  Continue reading

Richa Sharma starts her 29th year by donating Rs. 100K to Dhurmus Suntali Foundation

On the occasion of her 29th birthday, Nepali actress Richa Sharma has donated Rs 100,000 to Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation for the construction of Giranchaur Ekikrit Basti in Sindhupalanchowk. Richa handed over the cheque to Kunjana Ghimire ’Suntali’ a day before her birthday that falls on July 16.

On the initiation of Dhurmus and Suntali, Giranchaur Ekikrit Basti is being constructed at an estimated the cost of Rs 40 million. The residential units will house 65 earthquake victim families. Resham Filili actor Vinay Shrestha marries Aney Thapa

A well known actor, featured in leading role in hit film ‘Resham Filili’ Vinay Shrestha has married Aney Thapa in an event held in a party palace in Tinkune. Aney and Vinay were having affair for the last three years. They were engaged last year (I wrote about their engagement at that time).

Vinay had revealed about his affair in June of 2015, two and a half months before the engagement. Aney is a beauty therapist by profession.

Vinay’s affair with Richa Sharma

Vinay Shrestha and Richa Sharma were seeing each other for a long time before they broke up in 2013. They had produced a movie called ‘Visa Girl’. The movie made in association with Chaudhary Group didn’t do well in theatre. The failure of the movie is often cited as the reason that caused the problem in the relationship between Richa and Vinay.

7 Nepali celebrities who married a foreign national

The son of Hari Bamsha Acharya, Trilok Acharya married a US girl in the USA recently. The family of Hari Bamsha went to the USA for the marriage. Although Trilok had previously married and was living with his wife for some years, the current ceremony was conducted to perform the marriage in Nepali culture and tradition. At the time Trilok married his girlfriend, his mother had died. Both Trilok and his wife had come to Nepal to mourn the death. Now, after things settled, they decided to perform a formal marriage.

Marriage of celebrities to foreign nationals is not much common in Nepal. So, I looked into the celebrities who have chosen foreign partner of their lives. The result is the following video.

Rekha Thapa and Chhabi Raj Ojha officially divorced, Chhabi’s marriage in making

The top actress of Nepali film industry Rekha Thapa has been officially divorced. Rekha and Chhabi Raj Ojha had separated in 2012 after living together for more than a decade. After four years of living separately, Chhabi had reportedly asked Rekha to sign the divorce papers. There are rumours that Chhabi has found a model girlfriend to marry. Before marrying a new girl, Chhabi had to get the official divorce from Rekha. That is told to be the reason behind the sudden divorce at the court, after living separately for more than four years.

Namrata Shrestha, Aryan Sigdel, Samragyee RL Shah and Pal Shah win FAAN Awards 2016

The Film Artists Association of Nepal (FAAN) organized the first ever film awards in Kathmandu on July 2, 2016. In the award ceremony ‘Pashupati Prasad’ was awarded the best movie of the year. The awards were awarded in 24 different categories. The prime minister, KP Oli, was the chief guest of the event.

The actor and the actress of ‘Classic’ Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha were awarded the best actor and actress of the year in the ceremony. The director and writer of the best movie ‘Pashupati Prasad’, Dipendra K Khanal and Bipin Karki were awarded the best director and the best writer respectively.

Richa Ghimire gives birth to a daughter

Actress Richa Ghimire has given birth to a healthy daughter on June 23, 2016. She is the third child of the actress currently living in Baltimore, USA. The father of the newborn, director Shankar Ghimire has told that both the mother and the daughter are healthy.

Richa and Shankar couple had moved to the USA with their first child (born in 2012). The second child was born in the USA in 2014. After going to the USA both Richa and Shankar have left the Nepali film industry.

I don’t have a degree but I love my country, Karishma Manandhar responds

Actress Karishma Manahdar has written a long statement in response to the backlash she was receiving after numerous mistakes she did during the inaguration of Dr. Baburam Bhattarai’s new party, Naya Shakti Nepal. In the Facebook post, Karishma had mocked the so-called educated people who only complain about others and don’t do anything for the country. She had challenged them that she will win election and do good for the country and they should start preparing for the criticism for that future. I feel like writing something. There are a lot of scholars here. Those scholars become active when somebody makes a mistake or when they identify somebody else’s mistake.
