Vicky Malla ran away with Bhumika to get married on Valentines Day

In a report, ‘Samaya’ actor Vicky Malla has run away with an underage girl and got married. They ran away on the love day, Valentines Day, February 14, 2015 and got married. Vicky and Bhumika Singh Thakuri had reportedly planned the marriage with Vicky’s mother, Mausami Malla‘s approval. The photos Vicky and Bhumika have shared in Facebook indicate that they are living in Pokhara after getting married.

According to the report, Bhumika’s parents were not willing to let her marry Vicky saying that she is not old enough. But according to the date of birth in her Facebook profile she is 19 years-old, old enough to make such decisions.

Artists arrive in Malaysia for Ncell event

Two actress, three singers and a comedy actor have arrived in Malaysia for the ncell event to be held there on Feburary 19, 20 and 21. The actresses Priyanka Karki and Deepa Shree Niraula are accompanied by actor Deepak Raj Giri. Singers include Sunita Dulal, Khuman Adhikari and Shiva Pariyar.

RIP Pradeep Rimal, Silu director dies at 78

The director of the first Newari film, ‘Silu’ (watch ‘Silu’ here), Pradeep Rimal has died in USA on February 6, 2015. Rimal was living in Washington DC, USA for some time with his family members. On Friday, he was taken to the hospital after sudden pain in his stomach. He died after a while in the hospital.

Born in 1994 (BS) in Lubhu, Lalitpur, Rimal has also directed films like ‘Maya’ and ‘Ke Ghar Ke Dera’. He also worked as the assistant director of the 1966 film ‘Maitighar’ (watch ‘Maitighar’ here) and had acted in the film ‘Hijo Aaja Bholi’. ‘Silu’ was released in 1987 AD.

Hemraj BC to direct the next Bhuwan KC project

It seems, the actor Bhuwan KC is still not sure he can carry the burden of a film director. Although he has told that he will be directing a film in near future, he has appointed another director, Hemraj BC, to direct his next film, ‘Dreams’.

The movie scheduled to go to the floor in Falgun will feature Bhuwan’s son Anmol KC in leading role. Hemraj BC is the director who has helped Anmol by directing two of the most successful films of Anmol – ‘Hostel‘ and ‘Jerry’. Bhuwan apparently thinks Hemraj is lucky charms for his son Anmol.

Sahana Bajracharya and Suraj Giri arrested, again

In a report in an online media the mode and VJ Sahana Bajracharya and her friend VJ Suraj Giri have been arrested by the police. According to the Police Crime Division Sahana and Suraj were accused of foul mouthing and threatening Harshabardhan Sahani. They were arrested after Harshabardhan lodged a complaint of threat to his life.

According to the police, they are arrested inquiry. After initial investigation, the Crime branch has asked the Mahanagar Police Office to investigate and take legal action.

Nepali Film Award Ceremony to be held in Belgium

International Artist Forum Europe (IAFEU) has announced the Nepali film award to be held in Belgium on September 26, 2015. In the award ceremony awards in 14 different categories will be awarded. The announcement was made in a press meet held in Kathmandu on January 27, 2015.

In the press meet, Pradeep Kumar Uday told that the Forum is planning to held yearly award ceremonies in various countries in Europe.

Actress Rekha Thapa is totally biased during the promotion of the movie based on the film production house. She gives all of her in her home production movies and ignores the films produced by others. There are a lot of examples of failure of the movies when Rekha ignored the promotion of the movie. The last example was ‘Damdar’ (watch ‘Damdar’) for which we wrote about the lack of enthusiasm of Rekha in the promotion of the film. She didn’t even show up in the press meet organized by the film makers.

But, in the case of ‘Tathastu’, she has changed her attitude and has been promoting the movie in her Facebook page, in every interviews and she is even promoting the film in television shows. Now the question arises, what made Rekha to give herself in the promotion of the movie produced by somebody other than herself.

Namrata and Aryan to do Homework

Gopi Krishna Movies announced a new movie titled ‘Homework’ featuring actors like Namrata Shrestha, Aryan Sigdel, and Bijaya Lama. The movie to be directed by Nirak Poudel, the son of Gopi Krishna Movies owner Uddav Poudyal, will feature Aryan Sigdel in a new looks – an aged man.

A press meet was organized on Tuesday, December 16, to announce the movie. In the event five more movies to be produced by the company were also announced. ‘Homework’ will be the first of them to go on floor. In the movie, Purushottam Pradhan will be the cinematographer, Chandra Pant will direct the action, choreography will be done by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Taraprakash Limbu will compose the music. The lyrics of the movie are written by Krishnahari Baral and story by Shivam Adhikari.
