Namrata and Aryan Sigdel win NFDC best actor awards (Full list of winners)

In the Nepali film award organized by Gopi Krishna Movies, the ‘Classic’ actors Namrata Shrestha and Aryan Sigdel were chosen the best actors. But, the winner of the best movie award was ‘Pashupati Prasad’. The Best director award went to Dinesh Raut, the director of ‘Classic’. The editor of ‘Classic’ Surendra Poudel also won the Best Editor award.

Friday Release – Gaatho and Driver Dai

Two new movies ‘Gaatho’ and ‘Driver Dai’ have released in theatre today, on September 16, 2016. Although, the targeted audience of ‘Driver Dai’ is different from ‘Gaatho’ there is an issue that can affect the business of these movies. The movie released last week, ‘Chhaka Panja’ is still going on strong in all the theatres. These movies will certainly be affected by the popularity of the last week’s release.

Namrata Shrestha became the best actress for the 4th time this year. Who are the LG films Award 2016 winners?

In an event held in Kathmandu on September 8, 2016 actress Namrata Shrestha had been awarded the fourth award for her role in ‘Classic’.

Namrata Shrestha was awarded the best actress award in:

A short movie ‘Hokse’ is made based on the true story of a village named Hokse. The village is also known as Kidney village where people are forced to sell one of their kidneys, due to poverty. A presentation of Aashabadi Films, the movie features the story of Bimba Adhikari. The producer of the movie Krish Rijal has also written the lyrics of the movie. The movie directed by a well known music video director, Prasanna Poudyal, features well known actors of the Nepali movie industry, Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha.The cinematographer is Bidur Pandey, editor is Prakash Tuladhar.

Namrata Shrestha, Best Actress Award Hat Trick

After winning the Best Actress Award at the D Cine Award 2016, actress Namrata Shrestha has won three Best Actress Awards in a row this year. All three awards were awarded for the acting she did in ‘Classic’. In the movie, Namrata was featured as a blind woman opposite to another blind character played by Aryan Sigdel. The actor Aryan Sigdel was also awarded the best actor award in two of those awards.

Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha best actors of the year, again

After winning the best actor and actress award at the FAAN 2016 award, Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha has again won the best actors award at the D-Cine Award, held in Pokhara. The 8th edition of the film award, held on August 13, 2016 in Pokhara, was held in the location out of Kathmandu for the first time.

D-Cine film award awards 26 different awards to the movies made on digital technology. The best movie of the year was ‘Classic’. The lead actors of the best movie were the best actor and the best actress. The best director award went to the director of ‘Pashupati Prasad’, Dipendra K Khanal.

NFDC National Film Award 2016 nominations

The film award being distributed by Gopi Krishna Movies, NFDC National Film Award 2016 nomination was released in a program held in Kathmandu. The Award ceremony will be held in Ashoj. It’s interesting two movies released on the same day – ‘Premgeet’ and ‘Classic’ were nominated in the most number of awards – 11 categories each. ‘Pashupati Prasad’ and ‘Woda Number 6’ each were nominated in 8 different categories and ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ was nominated in 7 categories.

Namrata Shrestha, Aryan Sigdel, Samragyee RL Shah and Pal Shah win FAAN Awards 2016

The Film Artists Association of Nepal (FAAN) organized the first ever film awards in Kathmandu on July 2, 2016. In the award ceremony ‘Pashupati Prasad’ was awarded the best movie of the year. The awards were awarded in 24 different categories. The prime minister, KP Oli, was the chief guest of the event.

The actor and the actress of ‘Classic’ Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha were awarded the best actor and actress of the year in the ceremony. The director and writer of the best movie ‘Pashupati Prasad’, Dipendra K Khanal and Bipin Karki were awarded the best director and the best writer respectively.

National Film Award 2016 to Pashupati Prasad, Dayahang Rai and Namrata Shrestha

The winners of the National Film Award 2073 (2016 AD) is announced. The winners were selected from the movies released in 2072. ‘Pashupati Prasad’ won three awards, ‘Classic’ and ‘Dreams’ won two awards.

Friday Release – Buddha Born in Nepal and Homework

Two new Nepali movies are releasing in theaters in Nepal today, on May 20, 2016 – ‘Homework’ and ‘Buddha Born in Nepal’. The movie about Buddha, is a presentation of actor Ramit Dhungana and another movie ‘Homework’ is a Gopi Krishna movies presentation.

D Cine Awards 2015, November Rain wins the most award (full list)

The winners of the Digital Cine Award 2072, organized by Chhaya Chhabi Creation was announced in a special program held in Kathmandu on December 21, 2015. In the award ceremony, the movie ‘November Rain’ bagged the most award – a total of eight awards including the best actors, best actress, best director awards.

While ‘November Rain’ became the best movie, ‘Bhimdatta’ was awarded the Critics Award and ‘Sunpani’ became the Special Film. Late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha‘s movie ‘Kohinoor’ was awarded the public choice award. Producer and film distributor Gopal Kayastha and actress Gauri Malla were awarded with Chhaya Chhabi Film Artist honor award. Film journalist Dabbu Chhetri was awarded the Chhaya Chhabi Film Journalism Award of value Rs. 7,777.

Movie Songs – Classic, audio jukebox

The upcoming movie ‘Classic’ repeats the ‘November Rain’ couple Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha in leading role. The movie by the same production team is also a highly awaited movie because of the success of ‘November Rain’. The movie is the story of two blind characters played by Aryan and Namrata. The movie is expected to release on February 12, just in time for the Valentine Day.

The movie ‘Classic’ is a presentation of Aryan Sigdel Entertainment and Subash Entertainment production movie. Directed by Dinesh Raut the movie features Romi Ghimire, Prajwal Sujal Giri, Shisir Rana and Sushil Kafle with Aryan and Namrata. The producer of the movie is Subash Giri. The Jukebox attached at the end features six songs. Out of the six songs, two are different versions of the same song. Details of each of the songs:
